Job Summary

Cabo Edinburgh We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, experience with Mexican flavours preferred but not essential as training will be given. rate available is inclusive of gratuity and service charge

Duties

Section Ownership
Full responsibility for your section (grill, plancha, fry, prep, or pass support)

Food Preparation & Execution

Prepare and cook dishes to brand spec (tacos, small plates, salsas, marinades, etc.)
Deliver consistent flavour profiles — seasoning is key in Mexican food (acid, salt, heat balance)
Control cooking times across high-volume service (especially grill/fryer pressure)
Plate dishes consistently to company standard
Set up, maintain and close down your section to spec every shift
Ensure mise en place is complete, labelled, and service-ready

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef D or in a similar culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
A passion for culinary arts with creativity in menu development and dish presentation.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Previous experience in team management within a fast-paced environment is highly desirable. Join us in creating memorable dining experiences through exceptional cuisine!
