Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Sales and Service team member to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, effective upselling, and a welcoming attitude. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills in the hospitality industry while contributing to a lively and dynamic environment. Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The position involves engaging with guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a high standard of food safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
Take accurate orders using good communication skills and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks
Assist with food preparation and presentation as required, maintaining high standards of food safety
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
Handle guest queries professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience
Support with basic kitchen duties when necessary, including food safety compliance and assisting kitchen staff
Manage cash transactions accurately using POS systems and handle payments efficiently
Promote specials or new menu items to enhance guest engagement

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or similar roles is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Experience in serving or upselling menu items is desirable
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
A positive attitude with a passion for delivering excellent guest experiences
