Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Sitter to provide exceptional overnight care for pets in their own home environment. This is a self employed role and the jobs are provided on an ad-hoc basis. The majority of the jobs are throughout the summer months.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to ensure their safety, comfort, and happiness while their owners are away. This role requires a responsible individual who can manage various pet care tasks and maintain a high level of customer service.

Duties

Attend to the daily needs of pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication if required.
Provide companionship and engage with pets to ensure their emotional well-being. (Must not leave the dog alone for over 4 hours)
Maintain cleanliness in the pet's living area by performing light cleaning duties.
Monitor the health and behaviour of pets, reporting any concerns to the owner promptly.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's needs and any relevant updates during the sitting period.

Experience

Previous experience in animal care is highly desirable.
Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
Ability to manage multiple pets and adapt to different animal behaviours effectively.
A genuine passion for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care.
