Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook in our very busy seaside cafe. This role involves supporting the preparation and serving of meals. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
Support the cooking process, ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and to high quality
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Assist with serving food to customers in a courteous and professional manner
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Support team members during busy periods, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Help with stock rotation and inventory checks to ensure ingredients are fresh and properly stored
Serving customers, taking food orders.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation and cooking in a similar role is essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
Providing excellent customer service
Basic food and hygiene certificate is required

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
