Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent service, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a dedicated team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and uphold high standards of food safety and hospitality. Previous restaurant, hotel, or barista experience is highly desirable, along with supervisory expertise in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Supervise front of house staff, including servers and hosts, ensuring smooth service delivery
Coordinate reservations and seating arrangements to optimise customer flow
Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring quality standards are maintained
Assist in food preparation and cooking when necessary to support the team during busy periods
Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and provide ongoing training to foster a motivated workforce
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all front of house operations
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and delivery times
Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the dining area to uphold a welcoming environment

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel or hospitality setting
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
Experience in food service roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for guest interactions
Previous experience in hospitality management or supervisory roles is preferred
