Overview

Full and part time available working evenings and weekends. Join our vibrant culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant/Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to quality will shine! Duties

Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards
Cook meals with precision, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
Follow all food safety protocols and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe dining environment
Support the serving team by preparing ingredients for plating and helping with meal assembly during busy periods
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying supervisors when stock needs replenishing
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and uphold high standards of customer satisfaction

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong knowledge of kitchen safety practices and food hygiene standards
Ability to follow recipes accurately and work efficiently under pressure
Excellent attention to detail in meal presentation and cleanliness
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Enthusiasm for learning new culinary techniques and improving skills through hands-on experience
