Job Overview
s360 UK is a London based independent agency, backed by a 500 strong European AI Marketing company. We are looking for a Head of SEO with 10+ years of experience and a passion for eCommerce and retail to join our growing team. Our London team of 30+ work closely together, acting as an extension of our client’s team for leading retailers such as Wrangler, Lee and New Era.
We are able to support the relocation and visa of the right candidate to join our team!
The Role
In this role, you will head up the department and lead a growing team of 5 SEOers. To give you an idea of the role, we've broken it down into three key areas:
Leading Business: As the face of the UK SEO offering, you own the vision, commercial health, and product evolution of the department.
- Commercial Strategy: Lead high-level commercial conversations, including scope changes and repricing, ensuring SEO work remains impactful for clients and profitable for the agency.
- Portfolio Growth: Own the accountability for a +18% YoY increase in portfolio revenue across the SEO department.
- Product Evolution: Set the UK SEO roadmap, evolving the service from technical audits into AI-integrated, brand-led growth strategies for complex retailers.
- Strategic Sales: Lead high-stakes pitches and strategy resets, translating technical SEO into a compelling commercial narrative for C-suite stakeholders.
- Service Integration: Collaborate across other products (Paid Search, Paid Social, Studio) to deliver integrated, full-funnel strategies that transform retailers into e-com leaders.
- Operational Excellence: Define and refine repeatable frameworks and playbooks for SEO diagnosis to ensure high-value work remains sustainable and profitable.
Leading Others: You are accountable for the performance, growth, and sentiment of the SEO team.
- Team Expansion: Directly manage the UK SEO team (currently 4 FTE) with a target of +1 FTE YoY growth.
- Purpose & Belonging: Translate agency goals into a clear vision that gives every team member a "why," ensuring everyone understands how their unique contribution helps us win.
- Technical Coaching: Act as the primary "sparring partner," conducting bi-weekly sessions to develop specialists and ensure zero regrettable losses.
- Talent Magnetism: Lead departmental recruitment to achieve +1 FTE YoY growth, attracting and onboarding top-tier talent who align with s360 standards.
- Cultural Role Modelling: Role-model the s360 DNA establishing rituals that reinforce a high-performing and positive environment.
- Empowered Delegation: Delegate complex projects to grow team capabilities, providing the necessary context and autonomy while taking ultimate ownership of outcomes.
Leading Self: You are a recognized authority in the digital landscape, balancing high-level leadership with hands-on expertise.
- Industry Authority: Establish yourself as a thought leader by securing at least 2x significant speaking opportunities at industry events annually.
- Strategic Partner: Build trusted, senior-level partnerships with key decision-makers that go beyond daily performance to focus on long-term brand strategy.
- Operational Discipline: Manage personal and team capacity to maintain an average utilisation of >90% through mastery of productivity workflows.
- Continuous Development: Take ownership of your own PD, keeping pace with rapid product advancements and AI solution integrations in the SEO space.
- External Network: Leverage your personal network to open doors to new business opportunities and inspire the internal team with external insights.
What you bring to the team
We’re looking for a highly organised, emotionally intelligent leader who thrives on building genuine relationships. You act as the gatekeeper for impactful strategy, intuitively sensing client needs while proactively driving a culture of trust and authenticity across the s360 team.While we do not believe in rigid checklists, we’d like you to bring the following to the team:
- 6–8 years of Account Management & Strategy experience from an agency or in-house setting, with deep expertise in eCommerce/Retail.
- Experience leading, empowering, and coaching a team. You are comfortable setting high expectations and providing the mentorship needed to constantly develop talent.
- Proven ability to build integrated, full-funnel media plans across Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO, and Creative that align with commercial business goals.
- Comfortable with performance forecasting, budget pacing, and delivering clear reporting that ladders up to core KPIs (CAC, ROAS, revenue).
- A commitment to building meaningful, authentic relationships with key decision-makers. You are comfortable holding a room, leading strategy sessions, and pitching for growth.
- You are driven by performance, capable of identifying trends and risks early, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £65,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
