About the Role

GearTech Gaming and Computer Retail UK Ltd is looking for an analytical, organised and commercially aware Technology Inventory Analyst to support the accurate planning, monitoring and control of gaming computers, laptops, components, peripherals and consumer technology products.

The successful candidate will analyse stock levels, sales demand, supplier lead times and product performance to help maintain availability while reducing excess inventory and avoidable costs. They will work closely with purchasing, e-commerce, warehouse, finance and product teams to ensure that inventory records are accurate and replenishment decisions are supported by reliable data.

This role is suitable for an inventory, supply-chain or retail analyst with practical experience in stock reporting, demand analysis and operational planning who is ready to take greater ownership of technology-product inventory.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor inventory levels across technology product categories
Analyse stock availability, movement and product demand
Maintain accurate records for computers, components and peripherals
Review daily stock reports and identify discrepancies
Investigate differences between physical and system inventory
Support regular cycle counts and full inventory checks
Analyse sales history to identify demand patterns
Prepare product-level and category-level stock reports
Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving and obsolete inventory
Identify products at risk of running out of stock
Recommend replenishment quantities and priorities
Support demand forecasting for new and existing products
Review supplier lead times and delivery performance
Monitor open purchase orders and expected delivery dates
Follow up on delayed, incomplete or incorrect supplier deliveries
Coordinate with buyers regarding stock requirements
Support inventory planning for product launches
Prepare stock plans for seasonal campaigns and sales events
Analyse promotional demand and post-campaign performance
Monitor stock for gaming PCs, laptops and computer components
Track high-value items such as graphics cards and processors
Review component availability for custom PC builds
Identify compatibility-related stock dependencies
Support allocation of products across sales channels
Coordinate inventory information between website and marketplace systems
Monitor stock reserved for customer orders and PC configurations
Review cancelled orders and released inventory
Analyse returns, damaged stock and warranty replacements
Track refurbished, open-box and returned products
Support stock adjustments and inventory-status changes
Work with warehouse teams to improve stock accuracy
Investigate recurring fulfilment and picking discrepancies
Prepare weekly and monthly inventory-performance reports
Track inventory turnover, stock cover and ageing
Calculate sell-through rates and weeks of supply
Identify excess stock and recommend corrective action
Support markdown, clearance and promotional decisions
Monitor stock value and working-capital exposure
Collaborate with finance on inventory valuation
Assist with reconciliation between inventory and accounting systems
Maintain product codes, stock classifications and reporting structures
Support the introduction of new inventory-management tools
Test inventory reports, dashboards and system updates
Document inventory procedures and control requirements
Maintain clear audit trails for stock adjustments
Support internal and external inventory audits
Manage multiple analytical requests and deadlines
Contribute to continuous improvement of stock-planning processes

Qualifications and Experience

Degree or professional qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, Data Analytics or a related subject
At least two years of experience in inventory analysis, stock control, retail planning or supply-chain operations
Experience analysing stock levels and product movement
Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills
Ability to work with large product and inventory datasets
Experience preparing recurring operational reports
Understanding of stock replenishment and demand planning
Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate causes
Good numerical and analytical skills
Experience working with inventory or order-management systems
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Confidence communicating with buyers, warehouse teams and managers
Ability to explain analytical findings clearly
Good commercial awareness
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Good professional English-language skills
Right to work in the United Kingdom

Preferred Experience

Experience in consumer electronics, computer hardware or gaming retail
Knowledge of PC components and gaming peripherals
Familiarity with graphics cards, processors, storage and memory products
Experience with ERP, warehouse-management or retail-planning systems
Knowledge of SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or similar platforms
Experience using Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting tools
Familiarity with SQL or database reporting
Experience supporting demand forecasting
Knowledge of inventory-turnover and stock-cover calculations
Experience with e-commerce inventory operations
Familiarity with Amazon, eBay or other marketplace stock feeds
Experience supporting warehouse cycle counts
Knowledge of product lifecycle and obsolescence management
Experience handling high-value or serialised inventory
Familiarity with barcode and stock-scanning systems
Understanding of reverse logistics and warranty processes

Pay: £30,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
