Food Services Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Services Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the preparation and serving of meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for catering, cooking, and delivering excellent service to our clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food service industry.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation, including basic cooking and food assembly
Support catering services for events and daily meal service
Serve food to customers in a courteous and professional manner
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and serving stations
Help with inventory management and stock replenishment
Follow health and safety regulations during all food handling activities
Support the team in setting up dining areas and clearing after service

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
Basic cooking skills and experience with meal preparation
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
A genuine interest in culinary arts and food service industry development
