Full job description

Working Hours

Wednesday: 1:30 pm – 6:30 pm
Thursday: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Optional Additional Shift (Temporary Maternity Cover):

Tuesday: 4:00 pm – 8:15 pm

We're looking for a friendly, proactive and organised Patient Co-ordinator to join our practice team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent organisational skills and can remain calm and professional in a busy healthcare environment.

You will be an important member of the reception team, ensuring patients receive an efficient and compassionate service while supporting clinicians and colleagues with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Main Responsibilities

Welcoming patients and visitors to the practice.
Managing appointments and responding to patient enquiries.
Answering telephone calls and directing patients to the appropriate service.
Updating patient records and processing registrations.
Liaising with clinicians and external healthcare providers.
Managing incoming requests and correspondence.
Supporting the administrative and clinical teams with general duties.
Maintaining confidentiality and delivering excellent customer service at all times.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Is confident using computers and learning new systems.
Can prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
Is reliable, flexible and a supportive team player.
Previous GP Practice, NHS or reception experience is desirable but not essential.

Please note: There is also the opportunity to work an additional Tuesday 4:00 pm – 8:15 pm shift on a temporary basis to provide maternity cover. This additional shift is entirely optional.
