Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical expertise within a professional environment committed to quality service and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify faults and issues.
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine work, brake repairs, suspension, and electrical systems.
Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs and servicing.
Test vehicles post-repair to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
Assist with vehicle diagnostics using specialised equipment.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Assist with the organisation of the workshop to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair or maintenance.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling parts or equipment.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in vehicle maintenance or engineering are desirable but not essential.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and customers effectively.
