Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our wedding catering team who has knowledge of paki and south asian cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and a strong background in kitchen operations. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The Chef will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining the organisation’s reputation for culinary excellence.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Manage food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment
Oversee food inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating current culinary trends
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to improve skills and ensure compliance with health regulations
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Maintain organisation of kitchen equipment and workstations for optimal efficiency
Monitor portion control and minimise waste to maximise operational effectiveness

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with team management responsibilities
Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
Experience in menu development and culinary innovation is advantageous
Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service excellence
