Are you a people person who hates being stuck behind a desk all day?

The Prince of Wales Hotel is looking for a versatile Front of House Assistant to join our independent team. If you thrive in a variety-driven environment where you can pivot from professional guest check-ins to the high energy of a busy bar, we want to meet you!

In this role, you aren't just a receptionist; you are the face of our hotel and a key player in our bar and restaurant team.

The Role

This is a dynamic position designed for someone who enjoys staying busy. While your primary base is the reception desk, you will be a "hospitality hero," stepping in to support the bar and floor team during peak times.

Key Responsibilities:

The Welcome: Checking guests in/out, handling reservations, and being the "go-to" for all enquiries.
The Admin: Managing phone calls, emails, and processing payments accurately.
The Service: Supporting the bar and restaurant team during busy periods—pouring drinks and providing top-tier service.
The Standards: Ensuring the reception and public areas remain clean, welcoming, and presentable.

Shift Pattern & Benefits

We operate on a consistent afternoon/evening schedule, perfect for those who prefer a later start to their day.

Hours: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Rotation: Alternating 5-day and 6-day working weeks.
Flexibility: Weekend availability is essential.
Environment: Work within a friendly, independent business where your hard work is truly noticed.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: Previous background in hospitality, reception, or bar work is essential.
Personality: You are confident, well-presented, and genuinely enjoy helping people.
Agility: You can stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
Tech Savvy: Basic computer skills for handling bookings and emails.
Reliability: Strong timekeeping and a flexible "team-player" attitude.
