Full job description

Job Title: Regional Operations Manager

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience.

Location: Hybrid working

Regional travel across clinic sites (weekly – bi-weekly) – St Albans, Guilford, Reading, Solihull, Weybridge, Bristol, Nottingham, Manchester

1 day per week working from home

1 day per week based at Head Office

Remaining time spent visiting regional clinic sites as required

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and relationship-focused Operational Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational performance of our regional private cardiac clinics. 2 years of experience in a similar role required.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for supporting operational excellence across multiple sites, building strong relationships with consultants and site teams, and ensuring our clinics continue to deliver exceptional patient care and service.

This is a highly visible role requiring regular travel between clinics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with Head Office teams.

Although previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager is not essential, the successful candidate will be expected to develop into this responsibility in the future.

This JD highlights the original requirements of the role, however as the company expands, the responsibilities of the regional operations manager will also expand with the business growth. Management of new regional sites will be required, and CQC RM registration will also be required after 6 months after joining the business.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Provide operational oversight and support across multiple regional cardiac clinics.

Conduct regular site visits to ensure consistent operational standards.

Support Site Managers with day-to-day operational challenges and service improvements.

Identify operational risks and implement practical solutions.

Promote consistency and best practice across all clinic locations.

Consultant Relationship Management

Manage consultant inductions and onboarding.

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with consultants.

Act as the primary operational contact for consultants.

Support consultants with day-to-day operational matters.

Work collaboratively to resolve concerns promptly and professionally.

Stakeholder Management

Develop excellent working relationships with Site Managers and clinic teams.

Work closely with the COO and Head Office departments including Clinical, Pathways, Governance and Operations.

Support effective communication between clinics and Head Office.

Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Governance and Compliance

Support the Governance & Compliance Administrator with collecting consultant practising privileges and required documentation.

Assist in maintaining clinic compliance documentation.

Escalate compliance concerns appropriately.

Promote a culture of quality, patient safety and continuous improvement.

Develop knowledge and experience towards becoming a future CQC Registered Manager.

Operational Support

Support clinics with operational issues as they arise.

Assist with service developments and new clinic implementations where required.

Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and patient experience.

Ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained across all sites.

Person Specification

Essential

Previous operational management experience within healthcare or an equivalent regulated environment.

Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Highly organised with excellent time management skills.

Experience managing multiple priorities across different locations.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Professional, approachable and resilient.

Willingness to travel regularly.

Desirable

Experience working within private healthcare.

Understanding of clinical governance and healthcare compliance.

Knowledge of consultant-led services.

Experience supporting healthcare quality standards or regulatory compliance.

Previous experience preparing for inspections or audits.

Aspiration to become a CQC Registered Manager.
