Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for food, catering, and culinary arts, looking to develop their skills within a professional setting. The successful candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety practices, and general kitchen duties to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

Assist in meal and food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
Support the cooking process under supervision, ensuring quality standards are met
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure compliance with health standards
Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner
Help with stock rotation and inventory management of kitchen supplies
Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to during daily operations

Experience

Previous experience in a catering or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety protocols is advantageous
Experience with meal preparation, food safety standards, and serving is preferred
A genuine interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills within a fast-paced environment
