We are seeking a Lecturer - Health and Social Care to join our team on a Part-Time (14.4 hours per week), , Fixed-Term basis until 9th July 2027.

Our Childcare provision plays a vital role in empowering students within our community to build confidence in childcare practices, progress into employment, access higher-level study and support their families and communities.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Lecturer - Health and Social Care, you will deliver engaging and inclusive sessions to learners, supporting them to develop practical literacy skills for work, further study and everyday life.

Please note this role is 14.4 hours per week (2 days - Mondays and Thursdays per week) on a fixed term basis until 9th July 2027.

You will:

Develop engaging schemes of work tailored to learners with diverse starting points
Use learner-centred teaching and assessment strategies to drive progress and achievement
Provide clear, constructive feedback that builds confidence and promotes independence
Monitor and track attendance, progress and achievement, implementing timely interventions where required
Support learners with varying barriers to education, creating an inclusive and motivating classroom environment
Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring provision remains relevant to employment and progression pathways
Engage in continuous professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge of education policies and practice

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a passionate and committed Lecturer - Health and Social Care specialist who understands the transformational impact of further education.

You should have:

A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)

In addition, you will demonstrate:

Experience teaching Health and Social Care within Further Education
The ability to teach across all levels and have industry background.
Recent experience teaching Health and Social Care from entry-level through to Level 2 and Level 3 – ideally within a Further Education/College setting; alongside recent experience in practice/working in a vocational setting within Health and Social Care.
Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
The ability to differentiate effectively for mixed-ability groups
Experience tracking and monitoring learner progress using digital systems
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing
