Part-Time Paralegal

Square Legal (i24 Group)

Location: Leeds – Kingswood House, Richardshaw Lane, Leeds, LS28 6BN

Square Legal is a legal support service operating from our Leeds office, providing practical, cost-effective legal support to private clients and businesses.

We deliver a wide range of legal support services carried out by paralegals, offering a clear and efficient alternative to traditional solicitor-led services where appropriate.

We are now looking for a part-time Paralegal to join our small and growing team.

This is a role for someone who is comfortable taking ownership. You will be the sole paralegal based in our Leeds office, with the wider Square Legal team working remotely and other on-site colleagues operating in non-legal roles.

This role suits someone who can work independently, take initiative, and confidently manage their own workload without needing day-to-day supervision.

The Role

This is a hands-on, client-facing role with real responsibility.

You will manage matters from first contact through to completion, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, professionally, and in line with client instructions and agreed scope.

In addition to external clients, you will also support internal legal and administrative matters for other businesses within the i24 Group.

You will effectively take charge of Square Legal’s day-to-day operations in the Leeds office.

Typical responsibilities include:

· Taking initial calls and meetings with new clients
· Understanding client needs and presenting the Square Legal solution
· Confidently onboarding clients and closing work
· Drafting and preparing documents and correspondence
· Assisting with forms, applications, and legal paperwork
· Supporting dispute-related and debt recovery matters (administrative and document-based)
· Managing multiple live matters through to completion
· Accurately quoting work (fixed fee and hourly)

Logging time, progress, and updates on the system
· Proactively following up leads and progressing existing cases
· Managing workflow, priorities, and revenue generation
· Providing a brief end-of-day update to management on activity and progress

You will be trusted to run matters efficiently, keep clients informed, and ensure Square Legal operates smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

About You

You will:
· Have legal or law-related experience (paralegal, legal assistant, law graduate, or similar)
· Have previous office-based experience
· Be confident speaking with clients by phone and in person
· Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
· Be highly organised, efficient, and detail-oriented
· Be comfortable managing multiple matters independently
· Be confident drafting documents and correspondence from instructions
· Understand scope, pricing, and time management
· Be reliable, presentable, and professional
· Be a self-starter who takes ownership and gets on with the work
