Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Teacher with Level 5 qualification or QTS to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality early childhood education within a nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on young children's development while working within a supportive organisation committed to professional growth. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a genuine interest in fostering early learning and development.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Manage daily classroom routines, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for all children.
Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills by supervising support staff and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent delivery of high standards.
Build effective communication with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children’s progress and behaviour.
Monitor and assess individual children's progress, maintaining accurate records and planning next steps accordingly.
Foster positive behaviour through consistent boundaries, encouragement, and modelling appropriate social skills.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and statutory requirements related to childcare settings.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the nursery or early years setting by participating in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Qualifications

Level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification recognised for QTS eligibility.
Proven experience working with young children within a nursery or early years environment.
Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and support team development.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with children, parents, colleagues, and external agencies.
Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures, health & safety standards, and EYFS requirements.
Valid driving licence is desirable for roles requiring travel between multiple settings or community engagement activities. Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
