Full job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscaping Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of landscaping tasks including turfing, planting, fencing, seeding, and slabbing. You will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality outdoor spaces for both residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and level ground for turfing and seeding
Lay turf and apply grass seed to create healthy lawns
Carry out soft landscaping works including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers
Assist in the Installation of various types of fencing, ensuring correct alignment and secure fixing
Assist with the Laing of paving and slabs to specifications, ensuring level, durable surfaces
Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently (e.g., turf cutters, whacker plates, cement mixers)
Follow detailed landscape plans and instructions from Team Leaders
Maintain a clean and safe working environment on-site
Ensure all work meets health and safety standards
Carry out general site labour and assist other team members as required

Requirements:

Previous experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance (essential)
Knowledge of turfing, planting, fencing, seeding, and slabbing techniques (essential)
Ability to read and interpret basic site plans (desirable)
Physically fit and capable of manual labour in various weather conditions
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures
Full UK driving licence (preferred)
