Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team in a busy fast paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those passionate about food and eager to develop their skills within a professional kitchen setting.

Duties

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
Cook a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and organisational standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Ensure all food safety regulations are strictly adhered to during food handling and storage
Support the team in meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Serve food to customers in a courteous and professional manner when required
Assist with stock control, including checking deliveries and rotating stock appropriately
Contribute to creating a welcoming environment for customers and staff alike

Qualifications

Prior experience in food preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is essential
Experience in meal preparation and kitchen operations preferred
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Previous experience in serving customers is advantageous but not mandatory
A genuine passion for culinary arts and continuous learning within the hospitality sector
