Football Coach – Summer Football Camps

Location: The Catholic High School, Chester, CH4 7HS

Camp Dates: Monday 27th July – Friday 28th August 2026

Camp Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm

Join Our Summer Football Camp Team

Are you passionate about football and committed to developing young players? First Kick is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Football Coaches to join our team for our Summer Football Camps in Chester.

This is an exciting opportunity for aspiring coaches, teachers, students, and football professionals to gain valuable coaching experience while helping talented young players develop their skills in a fun, challenging, and professional environment.

The Role

As a Football Coach, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging football sessions for players aged 4–12 years. You will help create a positive learning environment that encourages technical development, confidence, teamwork, and a love of the game.

Key Responsibilities

Organise and deliver football coaching sessions tailored to players aged 7–14 years.
Lead engaging activities focused on technical, tactical, and physical player development.
Create an inclusive and enjoyable environment that promotes participation and progression.
Support players in developing confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants throughout camp activities.
Work collaboratively with fellow coaches and camp staff to deliver an outstanding camp experience.

Essential Requirements

As our camps are Ofsted registered, applicants must have:

A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate, or be willing to obtain one.
A recognised football coaching qualification, or be actively working towards one.
A Safeguarding and First Aid qualification, or be willing to obtain these before employment.
A passion for working with children and young people, with the ability to motivate and inspire players.
Previous experience coaching or working with children in a sporting environment (desirable but not essential).
Availability between 8:00am and 5:00pm during the summer holiday period.
Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
A positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude.

Desirable Requirements

Availability throughout the full six-week summer holiday programme.
Flexibility to work across multiple camp dates.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Experience leading coaching staff or managing sports programmes.
