Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, contributing to patient care and practice efficiency.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary
Handle incoming calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system
Process payments and insurance claims efficiently and accurately
Ensure the reception area is tidy, organised, and presentable at all times
Support the dental team with various administrative duties to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

Previous dental receptionist experience essential
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Friendly, professional demeanour with a customer-focused approach
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
Proficiency in using office software and practice management systems is desirable

Our practice is located in Barnham, West Sussex with good public transport links. Free parking on site. The surgery is very well equipped with automated booking system, Clinipads etc. Knowledge of Dentally system would be adventageous.

The ideal candidate would be able to start in August 2026.
