Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring to foster a cohesive team environment.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Prepare high-quality dishes with precision, demonstrating expertise in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and health & safety policies.
Monitor stock levels, place orders for ingredients, and manage inventory to minimise waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal specials to enhance the culinary offering.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times, promoting a safe working environment.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking across diverse cuisines.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively under pressure.
Demonstrable experience in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on high standards of service.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
Experience working in fast-paced kitchens with excellent organisational skills.
Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles is advantageous.
