Full job description

Overview

Join our busy friendly bakery team!

We're looking for a reliable, motivated experienced baker/confectioner with at least 5 years experience working on deck ovens and hand moulding. You will be part of a small team producing dough and confectionery goods.

Duties

Prepare a variety of baked goods and confections, including bread, pastries, cakes, following established recipes and quality standards.
Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and decorating finished products to ensure visual appeal.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently ensuring timely production.
Monitor ingredient inventory levels, report shortages, and help with stock rotation to minimize waste.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes or improve existing baked goods for seasonal or special occasions.

Requirements

Proven experience in food production, baking, or culinary roles within a bakery setting.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, baking methods, and food safety protocols.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in baking and confectionery production.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively.
A genuine passion for baking, creativity in confectionery decoration, and eagerness to learn new techniques.

Pay: From £15.00 per hour
