Full job description

We’re looking for an experienced, passionate, and reliable baker to join our small team. This is a hands-on role that spans both bread and pastry production, requiring someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in craftsmanship, and works well in a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Prepare, bake + finish a daily selection of breads, pastries, and specialty items
Maintain consistency and high quality, following guidelines to ensure that every product reflects our high standards of craftsmanship, taste, and appearance
Help shape and refine our recipes, systems, and workflows, maintaining efficiency, and accuracy across all production stages
Operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment safely and effectively
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
Collaborate with the team on new product development and seasonal menu items that align with the creative vision of the bakery
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
Be a key part of growing our bakery’s reputation

What We’re Looking For:

Previous professional baking experience in a commercial or artisan setting, ideally 2+ years
Strong skills in dough handling, lamination, proofing, shaping, and baking
Highly motivated, reliable, punctual, and ready to take initiative
Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a new independent business
Creative + passionate about quality, flavour, and craftsmanship with good attention to detail
Ability to work early mornings and weekends
Team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
Experience with plant-based products is a plus, but not required
