Full job description

French Pour Moi, a French language school for English-speaking learners, is seeking a French as a Foreign Language (FLE) tutor to deliver one-to-one or two-to-one lessons in person in Bristol area.

This opportunity could be perfect for you if you are:

Bilingual in English and French
A student or graduate in languages, literature, or humanities
Passionate about teaching and language learning

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver French lessons to English-speaking learners (mainly one-to-one), in person and occasionally online.
Teach lessons at the learner’s home, your home, or a public location (e.g. café, coworking space), depending on learner preference
Assess learners’ French level through tests
Adapt lessons to different proficiency levels, typically A0 to B2 (DELF)
Briefly summarise lesson content after each session in a shared spreadsheet
Periodically evaluate learner progress

Requirements

A responsible, organised and pedagogical individual with a passion for education
Native level French (oral and written), with and strong general cultural knowledge
Good level of English, as most learners are British beginners
Availability mainly between 4- 7pm, and at weekends
Proficiency with Office / Google tools (Word/Docs, PowerPoint/Slides, Excel/Sheets, PDF)

Work Hours & Duration

Several regular teaching slots per week, both in person and online (1–2 hours per session)
Lesson schedules organised directly with learners, respecting their availability
Starting at approximately 1–5hours per week, with potential to increase up to 15 hours
Long-term collaboration preferred, with availability for at least 12 months

Contract

Flexible freelance / independent contractor agreement
Can be combined with other clients and student status

Remuneration

£15 per hour for online lessons
£20 per hour for one-to-one in-person lessons in Bristol (travel at own expense)
£25 per hour for two-to-one in-person lessons in Bristol (travel at own expense)
10% annual bonus based on total invoiced hours, paid on contract anniversary
