Full job description

Job Title: Sales & Operations Administrator

Location: Severalls Industrial Park, Colchester
Salary: £35,000 per year
Holiday: 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays
Bonus: Discretionary monthly bonus scheme, dependent on targets being achieved
Hours: Full time

About the Role

We are looking for a Sales & Operations Administrator to join our team. This is a hands-on, varied role that sits at the heart of the business — you'll be the first point of contact for customers, processing quotes and orders while also getting stuck in with the day-to-day running of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

Processing quotes and sales orders using trade counter software and Microsoft Office
Taking orders and enquiries from customers in person at the trade counter, by phone, and via email
Serving both trade and public customers, providing a helpful and professional service
Assisting with picking and checking orders for delivery
Helping to unload deliveries when required
As you settle into the role, you'll take on more complex quotes for bespoke products including conservatory roofs and skylights

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a similar role within the building materials, glazing, or construction trade is preferred
Confident using Microsoft Office, with a good working knowledge of Excel beyond basic use; familiar with trade counter software; knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts is a preference
Good communicator — comfortable dealing with customers face to face, on the phone, and by email
A team player who doesn't mind getting involved across different areas of the business
Organised, reliable, and able to manage a busy workload with a high level of attention to detail
Full UK driving licence required, with experience driving commercial vehicles under 3.5 tonnes

Pay: £35,000.00 per year
