Full job description

Gorvins Residential is a national, residential conveyancing law firm and our roots in Stockport can be traced back over 150 years. Our specialist legal teams work with private individuals and companies from all walks of life buying, selling, transferring or re-mortgaging their properties.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm

Responsible to: Post Completion Head of Department

Role: To provide administrative legal support and assistance to a team of residential conveyancers and their conveyancing files.

Tasks:

Daily liaison with clients, third parties and other firms of solicitors, taking accurate messages and chasing documentation
Proofreading documents, checking for administrative and typographical errors
Understanding the current legal requirements for the registration of properties for which training will be given
Dealing with file closing on case management system and accounts system
Assisting with the preparation of post-completion matters where necessary such as SDLT submissions and Land Registry registrations for which training will be provided
Ensuring all internal methods, systems, policies and procedures are adhered to
Completing all tasks in compliance with Quality Assurance standards
Any other tasks as required with the Post Completion team

What you’ll need:

An eye for detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage time effectively
Proficiency and experience of all Microsoft Office programmes
Flexible and adaptable manner with plenty of initiative

Pay: £21,157.50-£24,784.50 per year
