Overview
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Scissor Manufacturers. This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality scissors. The role is suitable for those interested in developing skills within metalworking and manufacturing environments, with a focus on learning and professional growth. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training to support their development in this specialised craft.

Responsibilities

Assist in the fabrication of scissors, including cutting, shaping, and assembling components
Safely operate machinery in the manufacture of the scissors
Operate hand tools and basic tooling equipment safely and effectively
Participate in the assembly of scissors, following technical drawings and specifications
Maintain a clean and organised work area to uphold safety standards
Follow health and safety procedures at all times during manufacturing processes
Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on workflow and processes

Qualifications

Basic understanding of mechanical principles and metalworking techniques
Experience or familiarity with fabrication, grinding, welding, or assembly is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
Good organisational skills and ability to follow instructions precisely
Enthusiastic attitude towards learning new skills within a manufacturing environment
