Full job description

This is a customer-facing role involving service, team leadership and café operations. Front of House Supervisors lead daily service operations while supporting the team to deliver excellent hospitality and maintain Yuum standards.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service

Create a welcoming environment and deliver consistently high hospitality standards
Support Front of House Team Members in delivering excellent customer service
Resolve customer issues professionally and ensure a positive guest experience
Maintain strong product knowledge and confidently recommend products and promotions to increase average order value
Maintain Yuum service, presentation and product standards at all times

Food & Drink Preparation

Support the team in preparing drinks, desserts and food items according to Yuum standards
Assist with light food preparation and cold prep when required
Ensure product handling, storage and food safety procedures are followed
Ensure hygiene, food safety and allergen procedures are consistently maintained

Operations & Team Leadership

Lead the shift and ensure smooth daily service operations
Supervise Front of House Team Members and support the team during busy service periods
Monitor service flow and staffing during peak times
Support opening and closing procedures
Handle cashing up and shift handovers when required
Assist with deliveries, restocking and inventory organisation
Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs
Support inventory counts and basic stock control
Ensure cleanliness and organisation across counters, equipment and service areas
Support waste reduction and stock rotation
Support onboarding and training of new team members and help maintain team service standards
Ensure team members follow operational procedures and service standards
Maintain a positive, organised and productive working environment during each shift
Support daily operational reporting when required
Share feedback and suggestions to help improve service and operations

What we are looking for:

Experience & Skills

Previous experience in hospitality, café, retail or customer service is preferred
Previous experience supervising shifts in a café, restaurant or hospitality environment
Comfortable using POS systems and handling customer orders
Good spoken English

Personal qualities

Strong communication and customer service skills
Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
Reliable, organised and able to maintain high standards during busy service
Confident leading a small team and supporting colleagues during busy service
Takes ownership of tasks and service standards
Interest in premium food, drinks or café culture

Work requirements

Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods during busy service
Ability to coordinate team members during peak periods
Follow product handling and storage procedures
