Hutton Village Dental Practice – Brentwood, UK

Looking to join a supportive, forward-thinking dental team where your skills are truly valued? At Hutton Village Dental Practice, we combine advanced clinical care with a warm, patient-focused approach—especially for nervous patients, with IV sedation available.

We offer a full range of treatments, including cosmetic dentistry, implants, orthodontics, periodontal and endodontic care, all within a modern, well-equipped practice.

With a team of 30 passionate professionals, we pride ourselves on a friendly, collaborative culture and a shared commitment to delivering outstanding patient experiences.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Dental Hygienist to join us on a Tuesday for 12 months, on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care while enjoying clinical autonomy in an inclusive and professional environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality hygiene treatments, including scaling, root planing and preventative care
Carry out detailed patient assessments and maintain accurate clinical records
Use modern equipment such as EMS Airflow, Cavitron and intra-oral cameras with confidence
Educate patients on oral hygiene and periodontal health in a clear, supportive way
Maintain strict infection control and sterilisation procedures
Work closely with dentists and colleagues to ensure seamless patient care
Manage your clinical diary effectively to optimise patient flow
Contribute positively to a supportive, team-oriented environment
Stay up to date with ongoing professional development

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Current HCPC registration
Enhanced DBS clearance
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist
Proficiency with modern dental equipment and software
Strong understanding of infection control protocols
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible and adaptable approach

Desirable:

Experience in private practice
Knowledge of periodontal treatment approaches
Familiarity with dental software systems
Commitment to CPD and ongoing learning
Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues
