Bristol Van Removals is one of the South West’s leading removals, storage, and logistics companies. We are a fast-growing, systems-driven business focused on elite customer experience, operational excellence, leadership development, and long-term growth.

This is not a “traditional removals company” environment.

We operate with high standards, strong accountability, clear systems, and a culture built around professionalism, ownership, and continuous improvement.

We are looking for an Operations Manager who can help lead and strengthen the operational side of the business as we continue to scale.

The Role

This is a hands-on operational leadership role.

You will be responsible for helping oversee the day-to-day operational delivery of the business, including:

Daily removals operations
Team leadership and accountability
Fleet coordination
Operational problem-solving
Standards enforcement
Customer experience delivery
Staff performance and development
Recruitment and onboarding support
Operational systems and reporting

This role is ideal for somebody who:

Has strong removals or logistics experience
Can lead calmly under pressure
Thinks proactively instead of reactively
Enjoys building systems and improving operations
Can command respect without aggression
Is highly organised and accountable
Wants to grow into a major leadership role long-term

Important

This is NOT purely a desk-based role.

At least initially, we are looking for someone capable of supporting operationally where required, including:

Supporting removals teams
Driving 3.5T Luton vans and potentially bigger vehicles in the future
Assisting during high-pressure operational situations
Leading by example operationally

Over time, the role will continue developing further into a leadership and management-focused position as the business grows.

✅ Full UK driving licence
✅ Ability to lead teams and maintain standards

Strong Advantages

⭐ Experience managing drivers and operational staff
⭐ Experience with operational systems/software
⭐ Experience recruiting or onboarding staff
⭐ CPC / Transport Management knowledge
⭐ Experience building processes and improving efficiency
