About CD Fencing & Construction Services Ltd

We are a long-standing, respected contractor delivering fencing, barriers, traffic management, and infrastructure services across the UK. Our projects range from local highways to major national infrastructure.

We are looking for a Commercial Assistant to join our commercial team. This is a hands-on role supporting quantity surveying, and tendering activities. It’s a great opportunity for someone reliable, analytical, and eager to build a career in commercial management.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with the commercial team, providing support across the full lifecycle of commercial activities. Responsibilities will include:

Preparing valuations for clients
Cost analysis and reporting on completed projects
Supporting tendering and estimating activities
Assisting with risk and opportunity reviews
Providing commercial support to operational teams in works delivery
Ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and client standards

What We Expect

Strong MS Excel skills and good knowledge of MS suite
Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines
Organisational and time management skills
Confidence working as part of a small, focused team
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
A construction-related qualification (HNC or similar) is desirable but not essential
Interest in developing a long-term career in quantity surveying

Prior highways or construction knowledge is an advantage, but training and development will be provided.
