Hand Picked Hotels is a beautiful collection of 21 privately owned, luxury country houses and coastal retreats, each hand picked for their individuality. Hand Picked Hotels was founded in 2001 by owner and Chairman, Julia Hands MBE. Whilst each hotel is individual, every property fulfils the company values of family, individuality, community and care, ensuring a hand picked experience for every guest and employee.

We are currently recruiting for a Porter at Rhinefield House Hotel, part of Hand Picked Hotels.

Known locally as the 'Jewel in the Forest', Rhinefield House is an award-winning luxury hotel steeped in natural beauty, hidden deep within the New Forest National Park. Rhinefield House is proud to be the only AA four red star hotel in the New Forest. The hotel has 50 bedrooms, including three feature suites, an outdoor pool, a small health suite and a 2 AA Rosette fine dining restaurant. It is a popular wedding and Afternoon Tea venue with beautiful gardens and grounds.

About the Role

The role of our Porters is to welcome and engage with our guests through every step of their stay, delivering an exceptional guest experience, by putting the guest at the heart of everything you do.
Porters will demonstrate their knowledge of the hotel & local area to provide thoughtful recommendations to tailor to the guests stay and enhance their experience, helping to create magical memories.
Build and maintain relationships within the team and other departments to ensure communication is clear and be aware of all the days activities.
Most of all we will want you to be inspired, have fun and enjoy being part of our Hand Picked Team.

About You:

To be considered for this role you will have knowledge and experience of working in a luxury four or five star hotel.
Be passionate about going above and beyond for our guests and recognise and skilfully act on opportunities to make the guest experience memorable through offering or suggesting appropriate hotel products and facilities.
Local knowledge of the surrounding area and places of interest would be advantageous.
Be able to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, enabling you to be able to anticipate our guests needs ensuring they receive a Hand Picked experience.
Through your enthusiasm and willing approach, you will demonstrate how you find solutions to any scenario.
Act calmly and professionally, maintaining an outwardly positive attitude even when under pressure.
