Full job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, organised, and patient-focused individual to join our Oncology administrative team as an Admin and Booking Co-ordinator.

The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating the smooth running of patient pathways by providing efficient and responsive administrative support. Working closely with the Patient Pathway Coordinator, you will help ensure patients receive a seamless service throughout their treatment journey, acting as a key point of contact and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong administrative, communication, and organisational skills who is committed to delivering a professional and compassionate service.

The Admin and Booking Co-ordinator will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient management of oncology patient pathways through the provision of high-quality administrative services.

Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the Patient Pathway Coordinator in the administration and coordination of Oncology patient pathways.

Booking, rescheduling and managing patient appointments in accordance with Trust policies and waiting time standards.

Processing referrals and ensuring patient information is accurately recorded on Trust systems.

Uploading, processing and maintaining clinical information and correspondence.

Acting as a key point of contact for patients, relatives, GPs and other healthcare organisations.

Handling telephone and email enquiries in a professional, courteous and patient-centred manner.

Providing administrative support to Oncology Consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

Building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support patient care.

Ensuring all administrative processes are carried out accurately, efficiently and
