Full job description

We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and motivated individual to join our growing team at The Ice Blasters. This is a full-time Monday to Friday position based at our dedicated automotive clean & protect facility in Hannington, Northamptonshire, with occasional weekend work and nationwide mobile projects. Due to the remote location of our facility, own transport is essential.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Dry Ice Blasting Technician to join our team. This role involves operating specialised equipment to carry out advanced cleaning processes using environmentally friendly Dry Ice Blasting technology across a range of industries.

The role is primarily workshop-based at our automotive facility, with occasional mobile work sites across the UK.

The ideal candidate will be hard working, possess strong communication skills and have the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast paced, physically demanding and dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop specialist technical skills within a growing industry.

Working Hours

Applicants must be available to work:

Monday to Friday
Between 7:00am – 5:00pm
Occasional weekend work may be required
Occasional nationwide travel and mobile blasting may be required

Responsibilities

Operate Dry Ice Blasting equipment safely and efficiently
Carry out specialist cleaning predominantely on the underside and engine bays of vehicles, industrial machinery, components and industrial surfaces
Apply surface protection treatments following Dry Ice Blasting, including various rust remediations, underseals and protective coating systems
Prepare vehicles prior to Dry Ice Blasting, including removing undertrays, arch liners and other components where required to allow safe and effective access for cleaning and treatment applications.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project requirements and progress
Follow all company health & safety procedures at all times, including PPE requirements
Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment for workshop and mobile jobs
Report any technical issues, equipment faults or safety concerns promptly
Maintain accurate records of work completed where required

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail
Good organisational skills and ability to follow instructions carefully
Strong communication and customer service skills
Commitment to maintaining high health & safety standards at all times
Full UK driving licence

No experience is necessary as training will be provided. However, experience within the automotive industry would be highly advantageous.
