Full job description

Overview

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and professional Receptionist / Service Advisor to join our busy garage team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing excellent customer service while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the reception area. This role involves booking vehicles into the workshop, answering customer enquiries, ordering parts, and producing invoices.

Duties

Greet customers and provide a professional and welcoming service.
Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to customer enquiries.
Book vehicles in for MOTs, servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.
Liaise with technicians regarding vehicle repairs and customer updates.
Prepare and produce customer invoices accurately.
Process payments and maintain customer records.
Order vehicle parts from suppliers and monitor deliveries.
Maintain workshop schedules and manage booking diaries.
Handle email enquiries and administrative tasks.
Ensure all customer information is recorded accurately.
Assist with general office duties, including filing, scanning, and document preparation.
Support the team in maintaining efficient daily garage operations.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience in a receptionist, service advisor, or customer service role is desirable.
Experience within the motor trade would be advantageous but is not essential.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Excellent telephone manner and professional attitude.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and garage management systems.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
Experience with invoicing, booking systems, and ordering parts would be beneficial.
Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
