Join the Kitchen Team at Kota Kai

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team as we head into another busy and exciting season.

Kota Kai is a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant built on quality ingredients, great cooking, and a genuine passion for hospitality. We take pride in what we do and are looking for someone who shares that same commitment to standards, consistency, and teamwork.

The Role

Working alongside Jude Kereama and the wider kitchen team, you'll play a key role in delivering consistently high-quality food during busy services.

This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a professional environment, wants to continue developing their skills, and takes pride in producing great food day in, day out.

We're looking for someone who:

Has previous experience as a Commis Chef
Works well under pressure and enjoys a busy service
Has excellent attention to detail
Takes pride in consistency and presentation
Is organised, reliable, and positive in their approach
Works well as part of a team
Shares our passion for quality food and hospitality
