Job Title: Area Cleaning Manager
Location: Greater Manchester - Hybrid
Reports to: Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

A new position has arisen for a Area Cleaning Manager in our fast-growing well-established cleaning services and maintenance company. We provide daily commercial cleaning across Greater Manchester.

This pivotal role involves ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, delivering outstanding customer service, and driving team performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining compliance, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring that business objectives are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage cleaning operations across multiple sites within the designated area.
Lead, motivate, and support site-based cleaning teams to deliver consistently high standards.
Conduct regular site visits and audits to ensure contract specifications and client expectations are met or exceeded.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
Recruit, train, and develop cleaning staff, ensuring ongoing development and performance management.
Monitor and control budgets, staffing levels, and supplies to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
Ensure all Health & Safety, COSHH, and company compliance requirements are adhered to across sites.
Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and performance updates for senior management.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement action plans to enhance service delivery.
Resolve operational issues efficiently while maintaining service continuity.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in a multi-site cleaning management role (ideally 2+ years).
Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Knowledge of cleaning industry standards, practices, and legislation.
Full understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with digital reporting tools.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
