About ILBP Deputies

ILBP Deputies is an independent professional Court of Protection Deputy service, supporting adults who lack the capacity to manage their own financial affairs.

Appointed by the Court of Protection or the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), we act in an individual's best interests, ensuring their finances, property, and legal responsibilities are managed safely, professionally, and in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Our work goes far beyond managing bank accounts. We help protect vulnerable adults by ensuring their finances are used to improve their quality of life, safeguard their assets, and remove financial barriers that can delay access to appropriate care and support.

Our services include:

Acting as Professional Property & Affairs Deputies appointed by the Court of Protection.
Managing day-to-day finances, budgeting and bill payments.
Accessing and safeguarding savings, investments and pensions.
Managing property, including maintenance, insurance, utilities and, where authorised, sales and purchases.
Liaising with banks, local authorities, NHS organisations, care providers and government departments.
Supporting hospital discharge pathways by resolving financial barriers that prevent individuals moving into suitable accommodation.
Making decisions that are always centred on the individual's best interests, wishes and wellbeing.
Preparing Court of Protection applications, statutory reports and financial records to the highest professional standards.
Protecting individuals from financial abuse, exploitation and neglect through robust financial oversight and safeguarding.

## Overview

We are seeking a Trainee Finance Support professional to join our small and motivated team who are growing the business in a quality focused customer manner.

We are offering a competitive initial salary up to £27,000 dependant on experience.

After Passing a 6 months probationary period, the salary will increase to £30,000.

A Team Bonus Structure is also in place, which depending on performance can result in an extra bonus of up to 20% of Salary.

## Responsibilities

- Assist with data entry tasks related to financial transactions

- Support the finance team in processing accounts payable

- Provide general administrative support to the finance department

- Customer Service

- Collaborate with team members on ad-hoc finance projects

- Answer incoming telephone calls from social workers, vulnerable clients, and carers professionally and empathetically.

- Provide accurate information, guidance, and support to callers regarding our services, programs, and resources.

- Collaborate with our team to escalate and resolve complex inquiries or issues.

- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care and discretion.

- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, sending follow-up emails, and processing documentation.

- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for handling different types of calls and situations.

- GCSE Maths & English

- Exceptional communication and active listening skills.

- Ability to work both as part of a team & under your own initiative.
