Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance and Operations Lead to oversee our organisation’s financial health and operational efficiency. This pivotal role involves managing financial management processes, leading financial planning initiatives, financial processing and ensuring seamless operational workflows. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving organisational growth through effective leadership, meticulous financial accounting, and cost control measures. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in financial processing and management, and leadership to make a significant impact within our organisation. We are looking for someone who can do the work themselves and who can also work at a leadership/strategic level.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of financial management strategies to support organisational objectives.
Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including reporting, compliance, and audit preparation.
Process accounts payable and receivable ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to optimise organisational resources.
Implement cost control measures to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenditure.
Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic initiatives aligned with organisational goals.
Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and standards across all departments.
Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth or optimisation.
Ability to process payroll and knowledge of NHS pension advantageous

Requirements

Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or related roles within a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of financial services, including regulatory requirements and best practices.
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive organisational change.
Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control techniques.
Experience managing accounts payable processes and implementing efficient financial workflows.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Minimum AAT level 4 essential.
This role is ideal for a proactive leader committed to enhancing organisational performance through sound financial stewardship and operational excellence.

Pay: £40,000.00 per year

Education:

Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)
