Experienced NVQ 3 Pharmacy Technician OR Accuracy Checking Technician required to support a very friendly growing community pharmacy.
We are looking for a services driven Pharmacy technicians;
You will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- To proactively assist in growing the pharmacy script and patient services business.
- Delivery of NHS and private services
- Dispensing Medications: Accurately and safely dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter products to patients, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and legal regulations.
- Ensuring daily, weekly, monthly branch goals are met.
- Medication Management: Maintain proper storage and handling of medications, including monitoring and managing stock levels, expiry dates, and recalls, and disposing of medications according to pharmacy protocols.
- Prescription Processing: Receive and interpret prescriptions from patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and processing them in compliance with pharmacy regulations.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries, resolving complaints, and referring patients to the pharmacist for more complex medication-related concerns.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all dispensed medications, patient information, and other relevant documentation, adhering to privacy and data protection laws.
- Collaborative Teamwork: work in a collaborate manner with the pharmacy team, including pharmacists, other dispensers, and support staff, to ensure smooth pharmacy operations and deliver high-quality patient care.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in pharmacy practice, including changes in regulations, new medications, and best practices, and participate in ongoing professional development and training programs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Technician or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working as a pharmacy dispenser in the UK is a must
- Sound knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications and maintaining records.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and computer systems.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from registered pharmacists.

- Mon to Friday - 9.30m till 6pm
- Saturday on Rota - 9am till 12pm
Salary: £14.00 per hour dependant on experience
