Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role involves managing guest enquiries, handling reservations, and maintaining a high standard of hospitality throughout their stay. The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and a strong understanding of guest services.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in/check-out procedures.
Manage reservations efficiently using the hotel management system.
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy.
Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience.
Process payments accurately and maintain detailed records of transactions.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared to high standards.
Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction.
Maintain the reception area in a tidy and organised manner at all times.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and reporting as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in hotel reception or customer service roles is preferred but not essential.
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service excellence.
Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional attitude.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if required.
Proficiency in hotel management software or reservation systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
