We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Operations Support Manager, based at The Yacht Club, Ocean Village, SO14 3QF. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in leading central operations support overseeing administration and coordination, systems, processes, training, and continuous improvement across the organisation.

The role focuses on improving efficiency and embedding system-led ways of working. It supports the Head of Operations (Central) in delivering projects, compliance activity, and operational improvements, championing “Simplify, Automate, Remove.” The successful applicant will be required to attend various training in the initial period of employment as part of a full induction process.

The role will include but not limited to:

Lead and develop operational administration, setting clear priorities for the team.
Overseeing the central administration and coordination, ensuring consistent, high-quality support across sites and departments.
Managing workloads and act as a central point for operational systems support and escalation.
Ensuring effective and consistent administration, document control, and coordination processes.
Maintain oversight of shared services, records, and communications whilst driving standardisation and compliance across all locations.
Review and improve legacy processes to reduce duplication and risk. Simplifying processes and automating tasks to eliminate inefficiencies.
Deliver scalable, system-led improvements with clear documentation and adoption.
As a business owner for operational systems, you will be responsible for ensuring systems support efficient operations and accurate reporting.
Overseeing process documentation, system user guidance, and training in collaboration with IT.
Owning operational processes and manuals, ensuring they are accurate, controlled, and up to date through the implementation of documentation standards and regular review cycles.
Ensure alignment between processes, systems, and compliance requirements.
Support system upgrades with appropriate training and documentation.
Support and deliver operational projects and improvement initiatives.
Provide operational support across sites and Head Office as required.

The key requirements for this role are but not limited to:

Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible and positive ‘can do’ attitude
Previous experience in a customer service environment (in a leisure/marina/hospitality industry an advantage).
Previous experience in a operations support, operations management or in a similar leadership role (essential).
Previous experience in managing coordination or administrative teams (essential).
Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
Strong process, systems and documentation experience.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Sound awareness of basic health and safety in the workplace.
Confident use of IT systems.
A practical, resourceful and common-sense approach.
Good practical boating skills/qualifications (not essential but an advantage).
Competent swimmer (essential).
Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent
