About Forum Europe

Forum Europe is a Brussels and Cardiff-based policy events and intelligence company with around 35 staff. We run 65+ conferences a year across 14 countries. Founded in 1989, the business is now entering its most ambitious chapter - scaling its intelligence products, deepening its data and AI infrastructure, and preparing for the next stage of growth.

The opportunity

This is largely a new role, created for a genuinely enthusiastic individual looking to take the next step in their career. Forum Europe is investing significantly in its digital and AI capabilities, and we are looking for someone who will own that transformation from the inside.

The main driver of the role is to ensure that Forum Europe stays ahead of the curve in deploying AI and technology to facilitate the continued growth of the business. The role spans internal team support and close consultation with our outsourced IT provider, but its centre of gravity is innovation, deployment and execution.

What the role involves

Leading the rollout of new digital and AI solutions across the business, including HubSpot adoption and integrations across the wider stack.
Identifying high-leverage opportunities to apply AI and technology to events, policy intelligence, sales and operations.
Acting as the internal anchor for our outsourced IT supplier and infosec consultancy, including supporting the journey to relevant ISO certifications.
Providing first-line guidance and quick resolution on internal IT, web and digital queries that can be handled in-house.
Helping shape the business's longer-term technology direction as it scales.

Who we are looking for

Someone with ideas, energy and a bias to action. Specifically:

Strategic mindset - combined with the discipline to execute on plans.
Solutions-oriented - identifies problems and ships fixes.
Genuinely curious about AI and technology and how it shifts what a business can do.
A strong communicator - able to translate technology into clear, commercial language for non-expert colleagues.
Ambitious - wants to be part of the longer-term future of the business.

Prior experience in events, media, B2B subscriptions, or policy is welcome but not essential. Mindset, capability and appetite matter most.

Practical detail

Salary: £35,000–£40,000

Location: Cardiff with hybrid working

Reporting line: SLT and CEO

Start: As soon as the right candidate is identified

Office Requirement: Based in our Cardiff head office, with the requirement to be in the office at least two days per week

Remote: Remote work is an option for the remaining days.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, Core Hours 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (some flexibility possible).

Candidate Profile

Required Skills & Qualifications

Work Authorisation: Valid authorisation to work in the United Kingdom is essential.
Education: Bachelor’s degree.

Desired Skills

Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
Technical Proficiency: Tech stack is developing. Currently Elementor is used for site builds, excellent knowledge of AI, work flows, use of Notion, coding skills.
Problem Solving: A proactive approach to problem-solving.
