Spare Parts Operative

Location: Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim
Department: Spare Parts / Customer Services

About the Role

Pollock Lifts is seeking a reliable and organised Spare Parts Operative to join our busy Spare Parts team.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the Spares Department, ensuring parts are accurately identified, picked, packed and dispatched to customers and engineers in a timely manner. The role will also involve maintaining accurate stock records, processing parts requests and working closely with Customer Services and other departments to ensure outstanding jobs are completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

· Receive and process spare parts requests from customers, engineers and internal departments, managing invoices from different suppliers.

· Identify, pick, pack and prepare the correct parts for dispatch.

· Arrange outgoing deliveries and couriers, ensuring orders are dispatched accurately and on time.

· Receive incoming goods and check deliveries against orders and documentation.

· Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock checks and stocktaking.

· Ensure parts are correctly labelled, stored and organised.

· Assist with ordering and tracking parts as required.

· Liaise with Customer Services, engineers and other departments regarding parts availability, outstanding orders and requirements.

· Provide and maintain correct levels of stock for engineers and service providers.

· Follow up outstanding parts requirements to support the timely completion of jobs.

· Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised parts and stores area.

· Follow company Health & Safety procedures at all times

· Carry out other reasonable duties associated with the operation of the Spare Parts Department.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate should have:

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
A reliable and methodical approach to work.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
The ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment.
Confidence working with part numbers, stock records and order documentation.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, spare parts or similar environment would be advantageous.
Experience within an engineering, manufacturing or mechanical environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, maintains a high level of accuracy and understands the importance of getting the correct parts to customers and engineers on time.

The successful candidate will be practical, dependable and willing to learn Pollock Lifts' products, parts and internal systems while contributing positively to the wider Customer Services and Spares team.

Pay: £29,000.00 per year
