Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to support our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with financial record-keeping, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in finance within a dynamic organisation. The ideal applicant will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of financial principles. This is a part time role up to 25 hours a week.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices, receipts, and payments
Credit Control
Maintain accurate financial records and organise documentation efficiently
Support the reconciliation of accounts and bank statements
Help with data entry and updating financial databases
Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and summaries
Liaise with internal departments to resolve discrepancies or queries
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures as required
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulations
Ad-hoc office administrative tasks

Experience

Qualified by experience or holding a relevant professional qualification.
Familiarity with Sage 50 and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) is preferred
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
