Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for exceptional customer service, and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant and hospitality environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team, ensure high standards of food safety and service, and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with relevant experience in food preparation, supervising, and team management within the hospitality sector.

Duties

Supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and baristas, ensuring efficient service delivery
Oversee guest reservations, seating arrangements, and manage waiting lists to optimise customer flow
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained in accordance with regulations.
Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, resolving guest complaints promptly and professionally
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front and back of house
Organise staff schedules, training sessions, and team meetings to foster a motivated work environment
Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at all times
Manage stock levels for front-of-house supplies such as menus, condiments, and linen

Skills

Proven experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedure.
Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly yet professional demeanour
Ability to handle guest complaints diplomatically and efficiently
Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is considered beneficial but not essential
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
