Full job description

Our busy salon's now require a Front of House Receptionist and to join our team.

We are a fast paced salon that requires someone who can keep up with our clients demands and how quickly the salon moves -

Please see below shift working hours;

Wednesday 8.30am - 6.15pm

Thursday 8.30am - 7.45pm

Friday 8.30am - 6pm

Saturday 8am - 4.45pm

Working week is 32 hours a week (you will be provided a rota with the working hours 1 week in advance)

Hours and working days are non-negotiable

Ideally you will be able to cover shifts when needed in our Gloucester or Cirencester salon.

Overtime may become available.

The first 3 months of your training will commence in our Gloucester & Cheltenham salons with a senior receptionist or Manager

Main duties are -

* Administration and banking

* Sending and dealing with emails

* Excellent phone manner for dealing with bookings and queries

* Working mostly with a computer based software including word, excel, thunderbird and salon iq

*dealing with clients and their needs such as taking bills and booking appointments

*keeping reception area clean and stocked up including all product shelves, waiting area, bar area, floors and doorway

* Opening and closing of the salons (key holder)

* Working closely with all stylists to ensure all columns run smoothly

* Ensuring all clients have an enjoyable experience from the minute they arrive to when they leave

* Confident in dealing with any issues that may arise and be able to deal with any complaints kindly and promptly

* Follow all policies and procedures put in place by management to ensure our reception area runs smoothly at all times

* Meeting and greeting all clients with a friendly smile and persona

* Our front of house must be immaculate at all times including hair and makeup

* Report to your Front of house manager regularly and keep the, up to date at all times

*You must be highly motivated, with great stamina. The reception desk is the hub of the salon where everything needs to be managed and well organised at all times

I must stress this is a high pressured role which requires multi tasking, high levels of concentration, long periods of time standing and working closely with a team.

Candidates who are successful to the next stage of interviewing will be required to attend a trail afternoon, this is purely so you have a better understanding of what this role entails.
