Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic salon team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail, providing exceptional hair styling services to our diverse clientele. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, including mentoring and specialised treatments such as advanced colour application. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering personalised hair care solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a welcoming salon environment.

Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of hair styling services, including cutting, colouring, and styling to meet client preferences.
Provide specialised treatments such as the latest colour and cutting techniques.
Deliver outstanding customer service by understanding client needs and offering tailored advice.
Manage front desk duties, including appointment scheduling, client check-in, and payment processing.
Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance client experience and salon revenue.
Support store management in maintaining a clean, organised, and inviting salon environment.
Mentor junior staff or apprentices to foster skill development and team cohesion.
Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and product knowledge in the hair & beauty industry.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with a strong portfolio of work.
Skills in barbering are desirable but not essential.
Experience in store management or overseeing salon operations is advantageous.
Proficiency in customer service with excellent communication skills.
Ability to perform solely or as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to upsell services and retail products effectively.
Organised with strong attention to detail to ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation.
Ability to work well within a team environment while also demonstrating independence in managing appointments.
A recognised qualification in hairdressing or cosmetology is required. This role offers a vibrant working environment where creativity and professionalism are valued, alongside opportunities for ongoing training and career development within the beauty industry.
